Biltmore Park has undergone a huge transformation in the past few years from an ugly parking lot to a vibrant park used daily by neighborhood businesspeople. Each spring the community surrounding the park gets together for a beautification project and each year more and more people are enjoying this park. Spearheading the transformation of Biltmore Park is an accomplishment we’re proud of at the DPPC.
Now, together with Cornish Associates, we’re taking another step toward making Biltmore Park a safe gathering place in the center of our city by welcoming North Bakery. James Mark, owner of West Side favorites North Restaurant and North Bakery (and who once worked with David Chang at New York City’s Momofuko) is bringing his delicious food to downtown Providence. North Bakery’s newest location will feature delicious sandwiches, sweets, baked goods and coffees. Outdoor seating will be set up in the park, with a convenient walk up window for taking your breakfast or lunch to go.
Thanks so much to the Cornish team for working with us to help enhance our downtown parks and public spaces, and for working to turn an otherwise vacant building into a delicious for the neighborhood.
