Tuesday, May 9 from 5:30pm – 7:00pm, the City of Providence and RIPTA are inviting the public to give input on the planned high-frequency DTC service and Kennedy Plaza.

Back in February, members of the community held an open discussion with the city about the long-term vision for Kennedy Plaza. On May 9 they will continue the conversation and discuss the remaining options for the Plaza and surrounding area. RIPTA will also be present to talk more about that the Downtown Transit Connector is, and how it will help improve rider experiences throughout the city.

For more details, visit the official Facebook Event.

Citizens interested in this project can also take part in a Jane’s Walk on Sunday, May 6. Walk the 1.5 mile corridor to visit the six planned station sites, and share your ideas with other citizens about how this new transit corridor might boost local neighborhood placemaking.
